Thoracic II

Price: 4,000 DKK

Gipsrelief
35 x 53 x 9 cm.
In Thoracic II, Tilda Lundbohm uses plaster to preserve folds, pressure, and traces within a fragile, almost skin-like surface. A vertical structure runs through the centre of the relief, evoking the human spine and giving the compressed form a distinct bodily reference. Crumpled surfaces and irregular fractures create a tension between something anatomically recognisable and something more abstract and fragmented. The monochrome white surface makes light and shadow an active part of the work, revealing subtle variations in the plaster. Thoracic II is produced in an edition of 5.
