Is all that we see, or seem but a dream, within a dream

Bronze
200 x 110 x 200 cm.
In Is all that we see, or seem but a dream, within a dream, Maria Rubinke creates a quiet yet unsettling installation in which a young figure stands surrounded by dark water and lifeless fish. Water drips from the body and sculptural surfaces like a slow movement between dissolution and memory. The work balances the poetic and the dystopian, revolving around loss, innocence, and humanity’s fragile connection to nature. Its monumental staging gives the installation an almost ritualistic presence within the space.
