Trust (sketch)
Sold
Price: 24,000 DKK
Oil on Canvas
46 x 30 cm.
In Trust (sketch) (2026), Jacob Rantzau depicts a figure lying peacefully in tall grass, surrounded by shades of green and small yellow flowers. Loose, expressive brushstrokes allow the figure and landscape to almost merge into one another. The sketch forms part of Rantzau’s extensive preparatory practice, in which composition, colour, and atmosphere are explored and refined. Serving as a study for the larger painting Trust from the same year, the work offers insight into the artist’s creative process.
