Körper (I)

Acrylic on paper
85 x 127 cm.
Körper (I) is a turbulent and spectral drawing in which the human figure seems to dissolve into a storm of chalk lines and erasures. Set against a deep black ground, the white chalk strokes create a vibrating, ghost-like body caught between emergence and disappearance. The composition feels both physical and weightless, as if the figure is struggling within a void or pushing against the surface of the paper itself.
Lemmerz transforms the traditional study of the body into an existential field of tension, where movement, distortion, and fragility merge into a haunting visual presence.
