Jacob Rantzau2026
Skitse (079)
Pencil on paper
30 x 42 cm.
In Skitse (079), Jacob Rantzau explores portraiture through a series of small, loosely drawn studies distributed across the open surface of the paper. The faces are seen from shifting angles and emerge through light, searching pencil marks, with some areas becoming more concentrated while others almost dissolve into the paper. Their repetition creates a visual rhythm while revealing the artist’s ongoing investigation of the face, gaze, and movement. The unfinished and immediate quality of the drawing becomes an active part of the work.
