UBEMANDET continues Dino Cama’s exploration of the Siege of Sarajevo, turning attention towards the psychological consequences of war. The central figure appears to gradually dissolve into the black background, while coloured arrows cross the composition in different directions, creating a sense of unrest, pressure, and disorientation. The hollow gaze and fragmented body become an image of the exhaustion and powerlessness that can emerge through prolonged conflict and extreme circumstances. Moving between historical reference and poetic abstraction, the work examines the invisible traces that war leaves within the individual.
