In Gestält, Christian Lemmerz approaches the human figure as a raw and fragmented presence. The bronze’s dark, uneven surface dissolves the contours of the body, giving the sculpture an almost archaic and eroded character. Despite its intimate scale, the figure appears at once monumental and fragile. Lemmerz brings the physical weight of bronze into dialogue with expressive modelling, leaving the human form suspended between recognition and transformation.
