Maria Rubinke merges the fairytale-like with the melancholic in this small bronze sculpture of a resting mouse. The soft forms and finely modeled fur lend the work an almost poetic fragility, while the dark patina adds a quiet sense of gravity. The title suggests an inner journey through darkness and disorientation, but also toward calmness and rediscovered direction. The sculpture balances intimacy and symbolism — like a small creature carrying a larger narrative within it.
