Michael Kvium2022
Darkland Blues 3
Water Colour
29 x 46 cm.
In Darkland Blues 3, Michael Kvium presents a dramatic skyscape fractured by bare branches stretching toward a dissolving light. One half vibrates in hues of pink, grey, and blue, while the other is sealed off by a compact, dark expanse. The contrast creates a field of tension between openness and enclosure, between the poetry of nature and existential darkness. A concentrated watercolour work in which stillness and unrest coexist.
